Two appointments with Italian classic movies in Seattle.
The North West Film Forum (1515 12th Avenue, Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle) dedicates the week between April 25th to May 1st to the sex comedy Italian Style. Two movies will be screened:
“Divorzio all’Italiana” (Divorce Italian style) every day at 7 p. m.
“Sedotta e abbandonata” (Seduced and abandoned) at 9 p.m.
Both movies were directed by Pietro Gelmi.
From April 29th to May 14th The same theatre will present also “The duel of the cool”, two weeks dedicated to the two coolest actors of 60ies Jean Paul Belmondo and Marcello Mastroianni. During these days, each evening, The North West Film Forum will screen two movies, one hosted by Belmondo, one by Mastroianni, in the following order:
“Breathless” (director Jean Luc Godard): April 29th at 7 pm, April 30th 10 p.m.
“La dolce vita” (director Federico Fellini) April 29th at 9 p.m., April 30th at 7 p.m.
“Le Doulos” (director Jean Pierre Melville): May 6th at 7 p.m., May 7th at 9:30 p. m.
“8 1/2” (director Federico Fellini): May 6th at 9 p.m., May 7th at 7 p. m.
“Pierrot le fou” (director Jean Luc Godard): May 13rd at 7 p.m., May 14th at 9 p.m.
“Leo the last” (director John Boorman): May 13rd at 9:15 p.m., May 14th at 7 p.m.
The North West Film Forum will be running a month-long audience survey to determine wich actor between Belmondo and Mastroianni gets the title of “King of cool”.
