Two appointments with Italian classic movies in Seattle.

The North West Film Forum (1515 12th Avenue, Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle) dedicates the week between April 25th to May 1^st to the sex comedy Italian Style. Two movies will be screened:

“Divorzio all’Italiana” (Divorce Italian style) every day at 7 p. m.

“Sedotta e abbandonata” (Seduced and abandoned) at 9 p.m.

Both movies were directed by Pietro Gelmi.

From April 29^th to May 14^th The same theatre will present also “The duel of the cool”, two weeks dedicated to the two coolest actors of 60ies Jean Paul Belmondo and Marcello Mastroianni. During these days, each evening, The North West Film Forum will screen two movies, one hosted by Belmondo, one by Mastroianni, in the following order:

“Breathless” (director Jean Luc Godard): April 29^th at 7 pm, April 30^th 10 p.m.

“La dolce vita” (director Federico Fellini) April 29^th at 9 p.m., April 30^th at 7 p.m.

“Le Doulos” (director Jean Pierre Melville): May 6^th at 7 p.m., May 7^th at 9:30 p. m.

“8 1/2” (director Federico Fellini): May 6^th at 9 p.m., May 7^th at 7 p. m.

“Pierrot le fou” (director Jean Luc Godard): May 13rd at 7 p.m., May 14^th at 9 p.m.

“Leo the last” (director John Boorman): May 13rd at 9:15 p.m., May 14^th at 7 p.m.

The North West Film Forum will be running a month-long audience survey to determine wich actor between Belmondo and Mastroianni gets the title of “King of cool”.

Gentili Signore, egregi signori,

in fine, il Ministero dell'economia e delle finanze ha valutato positivamente il quesito posto dagli onorevoli Bucchino, Fedi, Narducci e Farina relativamente all'ulteriore detrazione dell'ICI sulla prima casa, riconoscendo - come avevano sostenuto i summenzionati parlamentari durante l'iter di approvazione della Legge finanziaria 2008 - che detta detrazione fiscale spetta anche agli italiani residenti all'estero, nel rispetto dei principi garantiti dalla nostra Costituzione, in particolare all'art. 3.

Infatti, con la risoluzione N. 5 il Dipartimento delle Politiche Fiscali ha chiarito il quesito posto dai Deputati sopra menzionati, per cui la detassazione introdotta all'art. 1, comma 5, delle Legge finanziaria 2008 sarà applicata anche agli italiani residenti all'estero, con gli stessi criteri statuiti per i concittadini residenti in Italia. In concreto ciò significa che alla già vigente detrazione di 103 euro a valere per l'immobile posseduto in Italia a titolo di prima casa, non locato, si potrà aggiungere la ulteriore detrazione  fino ad un massimo complessivo di 300 Euro.

Ribadendo che da tale provvedimento sono esclusi gli immobili  appartenenti alla categoria catastale A1, A8 e A9 (ville e castelli) e considerando la tipologia delle case possedute in Italia dai nostri connazionali emigrati, si può affermare a buon diritto che la  detrazione massima di 300 Euro è prossima alla detassazione completa dell'ICI.

La risoluzione adottata dal MEF mette fine anche alle interpretazioni piuttosto contrastanti che durante l'iter di approvazione della Finanziaria avevano animato il dibattito tra le rappresentanze degli italiani all'estero. Esprimo la mia grande e personale soddisfazione per questa giusta decisione del Governo, per la quale mi ero molto battuto anche in sede di emendamento alla finanziaria.
